Fallingwater

Fallingwater is a wonderful piece of architecture close to Ohiopyle that we can strongly recommend.  Whether you’re in Ohiopyle for a rafting trip, biking, hiking, or a wonderful night’s stay in our fine bed & breakfasts, you should try to make time for a tour of Fallingwater.

Fallingwater is a house built over top of a waterfall in the Mill Run area of the Laurel Highlands mountains.  Fallingwater was designed by reknowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935 – it’s built over Bear Run, which is in Stewart Township, PA.  Fallingwater was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1966.

Fallingwater is on the top 28 places to visit published by Smithsonian Magazine. Guided tours are offered all year long and National Geographic Traveler magazine named Fallingwater one of its 50 Places of a Lifetime.

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling Fallingwater Visitor Services at 724-329-8501.
